Privacy policy
Your privacy is of the utmost importance to BeaverTech.
The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you of our practices with respect to personal or confidential information about you or your company.
Data exchanged automatically
When you access this website, your computer and our server automatically exchange data. This exchange is necessary so that the server can send you a file compatible with the computer equipment you’re using. The data exchanged is as follows:
- identification of your Internet service provider;
- your IP address (a numerical address that can be used to precisely locate a computer connected to the Internet, e.g., 123.45.67.890);
- browser type (e.g., Firefox, Explorer) and operating system (e.g., Windows, Mac OS) you’re using;
- the pages you visit;
- the date and time you access these pages;
- the address of the referring site, if you are accessing this site from another website.
Most information transmitted automatically between computers does not reveal your identity. It is collected only for the technological requirements inherent in Internet browsing.
BeaverTech keeps this data for statistical purposes. It is used to count the number of visits and to identify the most frequently visited pages, the technology used by visitors, the addresses of referring sites and the country of origin of visitors.
Use of cookies
Cookies are used to facilitate navigation on the pages of this service. These cookies do not collect personal information about you. You can set your browser to block cookies at any time. However, this action may deprive you of certain functions offered on the site.
If you use a computer in a public place, or share a computer with other users, be sure to erase the traces of your browsing stored in the history before ending each session.
Using Google Analytics
BeaverTech uses Google Analytics, a web analytics tool, on this website.
Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about your use of this website, which is stored on servers located in the United States. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.
The information collected by the tool includes, for example, the pages you visit, the date, time, duration and frequency of your visits, and the links you click on. The type and language of your computer’s operating system, the name of your Internet service provider and your geographical location (region) are also part of the information collected. Your IP address is also collected, but anonymized (truncated) to ensure the confidentiality of your information. Anonymizing an IP address prevents the identity of an Internet user from being known from it.
Google will only use the information collected to produce statistics and reports on website navigation, which will enable BeaverTech to improve its electronic service provision. Google will not associate the information collected on this website with any other data it holds.
If you wish, you can prevent Google from recording information about your browsing by installing the Google Analytics deactivation browser add-on on your computer.
Hotjar
Hotjar is an analysis and feedback tool that provides other types of information on user behaviour. Hotjar records user movements, such as mouse movements and pointing, clicks and engagement with interactive elements on the web page. It also offers contextual polls and comment boxes. Hotjar hides information entered in forms that may contain sensitive data, such as passwords, so that they do not appear in records of user behaviour. Hotjar uses a unique identifier to track users from one browsing session to the next but does not retain full IP addresses.
Personal data collected: cookies and usage data
Place of processing: European Union
For more information, please see Hotjar’s privacy policy. You can also refuse to allow Hotjar to collect your data. (Please note that Hotjar does not track users who have disabled their cookies or record their behaviour.)
